This spiritual awakening My spirit shaken, brought to my knees, begging my Creator, my hand He was taking But, God, I am scared "Trust me", was all that he shared These cobwebs, these knots, the oppression that was clouding my heart The first step was scary from the start But as Martin Luther King Jr states, take the first step in Faith He never rushed me, He loved me through it with His Grace My soul got lost in the woods, roaming paths that were dark and haunting The Devil that was taunting But, my Heavenly Father, He has been rescuing me To help set me Free And if I could leave something behind Your peace, love, and joy in Him you'll find. This spiritual awakening, as scary at times, was meant for me Because if there was no pain, I wouldn't have found my soul that ran away, you see.
