A broken soul, crumbling to the ground Answers seeking to be found In the midnight air, she finds love in the moon Watching the clock, praying for peace soon
Her breath fades into the air Suffocation at its best Trying to resist, her bones bare
She stands up to be knocked down She'd question if she was a circus clown
Attachment, Confusion, Love, Sin, Soul Ties In the silence of the night, God will hear her cries
Those that didn't see her true worth God saw it from her birth
A soul on a journey through the chaos of the night Lessons, reviews, questions will always be a fight
A broken soul that comes up for air wondering when she'll get a break Trying to surpass all of the fake
She starts to pick up the pieces of her own soul From the enemy that stole
Unlearning who you are to become who you really is often intense And maybe sometimes it won't make sense
She may have many battle scars But the biggest test of all was she woke up every day Counting her blessings amongst the stars
