Pain In My Soul
By: Brittany Eldridge
She's more than a pretty face
Behind the linen and lace
Many have hope she'd fall
Their evil acts never stall
The days and nights hiding in the dark
Hoping the veins from crying won't leave a mark
Survival felt like an uphill battle
Moments of peace to let her soul settle
Voices in her mind continue to tell her to quit
The pain in our soul is just too much to fit
Breaking chains of generational trauma
Drenched and unfair karma
Does this angel stand a chance?
Release her soul under the moonlight dance
