Where is the next ticket for the way out of here? This world is cold and full of fear
I'll pack up my things, throw on my kickers and be on my way There's nothing in this world that could make me stay
I wish there was a quicker way home so I can hang my coat up and rest my soul My smile, the ugly world stole
They say Faith is like a mustard seed But the demons have too many mouths to feed
Walking alongside the dirt road with my head down Each passing car offering me a ride, I say " I'm just on my way out of this town"
They say you get a little bit stronger with each hit life throws at you I walk around proud with the scars of black and blue
A lot of people in this life crushed my spirit But when they see me rise up, they fear it
It's a long way home and I'm just out here on the back roads looking for a one way ticket there
The Heavens are waiting for me, upon the clouds I'll be resting without a care
