Inner Child
By: Brittany
Dear Inner Child
Where does your soul run and hide?
Is it lost among the trees in the wild?
Does it whimper from the pain?
Or dance full of joy?
What memories stain?
How do you hide from what's inside?
Is it too full of shame and pride?
Is it love you crave?
But emptiness fills your veins
To live every day is brave
Floating amongst the rhythm of vibrations
Losing track of what feels safe
Attaching to spiritual manifestations
Loving yourself is like tug of war
If just taking a pill was a cure
Life wouldn't feel like a blur
