The measure of heartache could be comparable to a drop of water atop a body of water Or the screeching halt of those running for safety Sometimes it's the unknown thereafter
Not knowing what you know now and wishing you knew it then The question of reality Losing your soul and not knowing when
What could bring a person joy could also bring another heartache The perception of how we perceive what the eye sees and only knowing from what we learned, even though we knew something was off Perhaps we could have saved a soul for goodness sake
Heartache can feel like stabs to your heart Or as you watch your blood pressure rise Not knowing where to start
Heartache is a very raw feeling And some avoid the healing The intensity of the nervous system reacting to the internal map of our being Our soul fleeing
Heartache is often a lonely feeling and can come from many rotted roots It can often be hard to see past the darkness to recognize our blessings and fruit
It hurts, it stings, the walls start caving in around you Sometimes it hurts to be human But without a little rain, there'd be no rainbow to pass-through
