You know those nights where you're laying in bed gasping for air Clinging onto the littlest thing that feels safe, in the distance you stare
I never stood in the front line of war But my mind is always there, that's for sure
Stuck in a world that is getting impossible to stay Not hearing Father's voice, of all the times I close my eyes to pray
A heart full of care Brought to walking like a zombie throughout the day, looking past the mess, an image in the mirror she doesn't recognize, it's bare
This is getting too heavy to carry and I'm sinking beneath it all Like the canvas of a creator, the meadows of fireflies I chased, chasing the light, but the ache kept blinding me and the mountain got too tall.
Stand up and punch the Devil in the face You need Rocky Balboa to win this race
You make friends with the darkness of the night Because you camouflage with the sight
Twinkle, Twinkle little star how I wonder what you are So many of you afar
One breath, Two breath.... inhale, exhale Falling asleep, imagining i'm inblove floating away on a sail
The distance becomes so faint, fog fills the last bit of my vision I'll get some sleep and escape this prison
